whos running a campus bottom pulley? any side affects, is the cooling system ok and can you rev much higher with it. i lost a belt at 9k yesterday on a gtt setup so want somthing that will stay on at high revs.

it was a accident to be honest as i try to stay at 8k but forgot to set the limiter but the engine held ok.
you need to run another pulley guide just above the bottom pulley between that and the waterpump.
a long 13mm bolt with some tubular washers on do the job.- straight into one of the OE holes on the side of the block.

That's a good idea thanks :). I will knock one up.
So how far can a c1j actually be revved, I don't go over 7k but I'm sure with a t28 I'm missing out on some fun:coffee:

I run a campus pulley and shorter belt but don't rev to 9k :laugh: only seen 7k with this engine. Not noticed any side effects to be honest.

Mine has never thrown a belt at high revs it has one of those bolt things that fits in the block to stop it from happening.:)
I was just wondering as I see lots of people saying they rev to 8/8.5k rpm, the main thing i'm worried about is push rods and valves collets ect.
I over revved once and dropped a valve, a collet gave way and it wasn't a pretty sight when the head came off!
It's kind of put me off ever since:scared:
So you people who rev to 8k plus do you have any other changes other than valve springs?

and you were wondering where the engine disappeared eh :wasntme:
it's actually R19 energy pulley, it might be the very same pulley, good old Renault :laugh:
