Hi All,

In the resto of my wife's EBS GTT...

We want to keep it as standard as possible, but we need to replace the front shocks.

In that case, what's the best option, and what's available? And from where?

Presumably they're not available from Renault any more.

Is there any merit in choosing an alternative?

Sorry for the open questions, hope it's useful for others too.

Thanks,

Andrew

Gsf or ECP? - call them don't go via the site - they may still do them.

Hi Sparkie,

We tried to order from GSF - they're listed on their site. However, when they checked their stock they were unavailable and unavailable at their supplier.

I've found some Bilsteins:

I'll try ECP next.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Andrew

If you have no luck from there, I managed to source a set of standard shocks from Firstline. If you have no luck ill have a word with them see if I can source another set for you.

That is correct,

Yes, it is the one that's been painted Raider blue, and it's most likely to stay that colour!

We want it to be unique. There are red ones, a white one, a silver one, a tungy one, and a black one, but no Raider blue ones.

I've got koni adjustables on mine front and back as i found it handles alot better that OE shocks on the cab. With the old OE setup which were getting worn to be honest, i could hit a big bump and due to the way the chassic is it would change direction when it landed. The back end used to pick up on big bends too. You could always give the yellow koni's and paint job if you are looking for original look.

Im not too bothered about keeping the suspension/brakes OE as i would rather stay on the road. Im running a front mounted which is fitted so you would'nt even know its there.

Keep the interia / bodywork OE for sure as i've done. I've fitted a double din in mine now so the rear electric window switches now have proper holes to live in not the crap ebs lets cut a hole in the centre console and bodge it option. Looks so much better and still a proper renault centre console. :)

Thanks Nick,

What's the ride quality like with the Konis? Did you fit just the Koni shocks or did you fit a whole kit?

Thanks,

Andrew

I've contacted Renault about 4 weeks ago, and told they are still available!

Was something like £65 or £85+vat per shock - sorry can't remember exactly
