on saturday at the sat night special, did two runs, first was the best with a 12.9@104mph

slicks, more stripping and learn to launch it and i rekon mid twelves, then decent map at current boost and crack the low 12's next year

either way was an excellent experience and i'm keen to get the car up the table now!:)

thats a awesome time, proper drag tyres and a few other mods should see you low 12's. i would be very happy with that time though. let turbo ted or scoff launch it at pod for you then see what time it makes. actually dont let ted do it he will break it .

a good set of drag tyres up front, would surely make a massive difference

but still a very fast run ... :burnrubber:

He came in a few weeks ago and said he was having box issues, 6 in one year apparently. That's worse than my record...

most people would be upset when they break things like very expensive gearboxes, but he seems to get high off it . his missus has come to the conclusion that he enjoys breaking things on purpose just so he can upgrade or modify. i would have given up after the 3 rd box.

I did an equal number of gearboxes, but that was over a period of 2 years. I honestly got bored of fitting new boxes every few months. It didn't take long mind, a 2 hour job or so.

box takes a bit longer on a clio, very little space to work with, but am only on my second

back yard my good man, you say that shaved 1.7 seconds off your time!!!jesus, so add that to mine and am into the 11's, me thinks not:laugh::eek:

lol, that's just nuts :D

I think I was on 12psi with tubes, may have dropped to 10 for the last run, not sure.

I did a couple of 1.83s, my last one was better (still a 1.83) but I held it too long in the limiter in 1st and it nose dived a bit. I'm into 2nd before the 60ft.

Last time i was at the pod i got turned back from the front when i had 8psi in my m/t's too flat apparantly according to the marshals:rolleyes: How do the yanks get away with 0 psi?

On my first outing with the 22s i ran 9-10psi and could only mangage 1.8s (not sure of the best on the day)... But at weekend i decided to drop them down and it hooked up so much better 1.76 my best but ran a few 1.7 and low 1.8s with LC.. but im unsure how much my car my lose with the drag at top. It mite not have to power to balloon them all the way... i think 23s with gas on line and chassis mods 1.6s are do able.... but of course the gear to wheel ratio would be a kick in bollocks.....

the trap does suffer rob, I've found this with the 22's, I run 7.5psi in them (cold). I've tried 5psi, too, didn't get a good feeling from it, hardly very scientific I know.

brigsy, tell the man you know what your doing, then "hope" the tryes don't fold them selves off the rim when you turn the corner to line up :D I had a marshall try to send me off the 0-60 sprint at trax a few years back, I had about 10psi in my M/T drag's, I told him to stop worrying, lined up and pulled a 3.9 0-60! I can't tell you how much traction they offer with RWD, it's just insane.

It would be good if they had a tyre that could start of flat for the first couple of seconds then rapidly inflate to make the car roll better for the rest of the 1/4 mile...

Glad you enjoyed 1/4 mile racing.

The only racing that can be compared all around the world.:):)
