Hi guys, my stereo adapter has been cut off and i just have some wires now, is this the right thing to buy?

Looked in halfords for one today and it was £15.99, this is exactly the same connector and explains why I have stayed away from there for so long!

:agree:

You will need 2, one has the Grey,White,Green and Purple wires for the speakers. The other will have the power supply wires. :)

When i looked at it in halfords it looked like 2 block connectors joined together. Thanks for diagrams, very helpful!

The one in your link is the same as the one you will find at Halfords its just a crap pic so you cant see that there are two parts to it, two 8 pin connectors one for the power/assesories and one for the speakers. ;)

I bought an adaptor loom from original r5 plug to iso for £4 delivered last week off ebay, cheap as chips;)

One last thing, is it worth fitting inline fuses to the perm or switched live? There are no inline fuses on the cabling at the moment.

Your head unit will have its own fuse in the back of it, the only other place you require a fuse is on the fat red cable that goes from your battery positive to your amplifier, if fitted. :)

Theres a fuse in the fusebox for the radio circuit mate so no need to mess about:)
