bung thing on boost pipe

Just fitted my new boost pipes but the oe one has some sort of bung on it and the new one doesnt have a fitment for it do i need this or can i just scrap it?? p.s turbo to intercooler pipe

That bung will be where the original overboost switch went, if your not using it then be ok not to have it in there
