Hot start fan

Did a search but couldnt find anything on this.

I removed the hot start fan from my 11 Turbo because the motor bearings were knackered and it made a loud rattling noise.

Also I've heard that they have a habit of catching fire.

Problem now of course is that the fan was there for a reason and the car can be a right bitch to start when hot.

How have other people got around this?

They just rip it it out mate and never look back.
Ive never owned a Renault Turbo that still had one in. All my cars started when hot so I had no issues at all. Think its called an anti-perc fan?
