No Fuel or spark

An hour ago Morg called to say his car wasn't starting, symptoms were no fuel getting to car and also no spark. He popped to mine and took the fuel relay off my car and we both went back down.

Changed the relay, no change........

Bridged relay and got fuel (fuel pump sprung into life)

still no spark.

Can anyone advise where to check next? were guessing AEI?

Have checked all wires to and from AEI - TDC etc and all seam fine. Morg called the AA and they had a look but were as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike. They did check the TDC though and said it was working.

i would have thought its the tdc sensor.

I'd guess there's a problem with the AEI itself, either its not getting power or its fried and needs replacing

Going to change the AEI, already changed the AEI relay with no joy.

Have you checked aei feed/earth, if so then try see if your getting a signal from the timing sensor.

make sure that the wire from the TDC sensor isnt shorting out where it goes through the bulk head.

i'd say TDC sensor, especially if it has been cut and re-connected in the past
