found my problem (help)

just took pipe off right hand side of lobster and fuel is coming out of it aswell as the fuel intakeso ive got fuelcoming from to pipes from fuel pressure regulator, am i right in guessing this is my problem why it wont start.am i right in thinking the two bigger pipes are fuel supply from the tank and overflow and the 2 smaller ones are fuel feed to the carb and a breather ihave petrol coming from the 2 smaller ones (fuel line to carb and breather?????)

The fuel pressure regulator is shot as i suggested on the other thread mate, the diaphragm is split & petrol is coming out the reference pipe. I had one fail the same way.

Thi will explain why its got fuel in the intercooler as you explained to me, will be a good reason why its not starting as the carb will be completely flooded.

Yep that will flood it. Block the pipe up for a quick test! the plugs will probably be wet so clean them.

Empty the intercooler first. I revved the engine with carb top off when the reg failed on mine, a couple of ltrs of fuel over a hot engine isnt a nice experience.

iam gonna leave it as engine full of petrol so gonna drop that tomorrow and put new oil in ive drained intercooler, ill wait till ive got the new fpr on before i try starting it hopefully itll just fire up

can someone tell me which way the pipes go on the fuel regulator, mine were ( reg to carb) out right side and left side (reg to carb top) and to pipes that go under car out the top and bottom...but when is saw this pic . i noticed his fuel out, out the side and the vacum 1 out the top :crap:

The pipe from the carb lobster goes onto the top of the FRB as in the pic. Its the reference pipe, the pipe coming from the FPR that points toward the front of the car if the main fuel feed to the carb

see my fuel is the same but the vacum is coming out from opposite side to fuel out :crap:
