heres the stats
standing et of 3.54 seconds @392mph world record set in 1984
pulls 11g off the line
o-62mph in 0.2 secs
after the run Sammy Miller had blood coming out his ears, nose and :eek:
This world record still stands today as controlled explosion propelled cars were banned from drag racing years ago

I remember this car going down the track when i was a very young boy. The crowd would count down then, whooooosh...gone.
Sammy actully got killed working on an oil rig, but never will be forgotten.
He was also banned to run at any US traks as he and the car was considered dangerous,hense the record still being at Santa Pod .

i looked into the chemistry behind these cars a while ago..
hydrogen peroxide in a pressurised can- blown through a heated catalyst - produces steam - voila!
I wonder if this would understeer through Brunnchen and then roll?

There is still a rocket bike that runs every now and again, once the mix starts it can't be stopped very quick.

my old man use to be in to drag racing and he was there when he ran this time he used to close his eyes put his tongue between his teeth and hold it there so he didnt swallow it count to 3 in his head then push the button to release the parachute crazy
