Please can someone tell me what this sensor is and where abouts it goes. been blagging my head for a good couple of days

Ill just guess of the wiring loom when i start work on it lol
not a clue but i know when i go the 480 for a donner it was not bolted 2 any tin and the engine ran fine

It's a temp switch, same deal as an anti perc sensor/switch on a Renault 5 gtt, needs mounting near the inlet manifold.

so would this be used for the engine running or for the cooling system for the turbo when the engine isnt running
its a inlet temp sensor, it bolts on the bk right side of the inlet (right side if you was stood in front of engine looking at it)

been looking through the wiring diagrams. its a potentiometer switch, its link to the temp switch and the auxillary water pump relay. so does not affect the running of the engine at all
yup, just turns the elec waterpump on, so only needed if you run the waterpump, but it does run when the ignition is off so if engine is takes ages to cool in summer can be on for some time, so usually not fitted with the conversion.
