Hi All,

I'm trying to find all the EBS Convertible/Cabriolet GT Turbo owners out there, having recently bought one as a present for my wife. It's currently being restored and we're having problems finding some parts...

Does anyone on here (apart from Nick) have one and have experience of finding the parts?

I'm after a tailgate specifically. Looks like it was custom made for the EBS.

Thanks,

Yellow one is locked up in essex. Doubt to see the daylight for quite a while. Not sure if they are trying to restore it to how it should be or just put it in a garage to fall apart. That car would need a lot of work to get back to even close to how it should look.

Thanks guys for your replies so far, and thanks for the welcome.

By way of an intro - I run

http://www.r5gordini.co.uk

- the site's been online in one form or another for about 15 years!

I've got a Gordini Turbo, my dad has a Turbo 2, and I've got a couple of other standard Mk I 5s. So they are a bit of an obsession!

I'm collecting a register of R5s:

http://www.r5gordini.co.uk/wiki/Category:Renault_5_Register

Here's the EBS Convertible register therein:

http://www.r5gordini.co.uk/wiki/Renault_Super_5_Convertible

I realised the EBS needed saving so bought it from Phildini (sight unseen). It needs much more work than originally thought:

The tailgate is rather rusty (it's custom for the EBS)
The rear wheel wells (inner arches) are almost non-existent!
The boot floor is a bit knackered
Some of the other EBS parts have seen better days
etc.

I saw it for the first time today - the people that are restoring it for us have removed the panels from the N/S and are tackling the rust issues.

We also have a Mk I convertible - a very rare beast, and will probably be selling it if I can get it roadworthy...

Cheers,

Andrew
