So going off that, I'm sure you can understand that you saying this is the same reason you don't talk about Audi's makes no sense, what so ever.

It's not like we've not heard it all before. It's just something that comes with the territory.
Unfortunately GTT's did have a bad reputation back in the day, as people did used to wind up the boost willy nilly without think of extra fuelling, how efficient the o.e intercooler was, or whether the compressor wheel might actually be spinning supersonic, etc.
Wasn't helped by the fact that the majority of tuners out there knew bollox all about the cars either. GT Tuning came along and kinda righted that, but, even so, as years have passed, some of their products have now been deemed to be cr8p now that people (like us on here) have built up knowledge & experience of everything & anything gt turbo related; cue GT Tuning's 'Group A' carb and how miserable it over-fuels at anything other than w.o.t as a good example.
It doesn't matter which non-rtoc car club posts about our cars, you're always gonna have some that love them, some that hate them, some who knew someone who had one, some who reckon they eat gaskets for breakfast, etc etc, ad nauseum.
No difference to when we have jokey threads about Saxos, Novas, and the such like.
That's my tuppenth worth anyway.
Jeez, I must be getting diplomatic in my old age, as once upon a time I've had told the janky know-nothing caaaants to feck off & do one :D

Its pretty much the same on every car club forum, every other car is crap unless its their own. Altho it does look like Audi owners are starting to get that BMW driver reputation.

205=handles very well even std ride height bro had 1.6
r5 =is a very fast car but the handeling is not so :((std that is)
but both are good cars :cool:.i do like the quattros though :laugh:

The only Audis I know are of the hillclimb variety, they're hellish fast, but they run in the unlimited capacity class, so to compare them to my 1.4L fwd pushrod engine wouldn't really be fair. Cracking bunch of guys driving them, as you'd expect with any turbo nutter:) - the photo in my avatar was taken by one of them. But damn are they unreliable, they're always breaking something, I'd give up if my 5 was half as unreliable.

I thought that one of the biggest problems with the R5 (non gordini) was that Renault decided it would be great idea to run the fuel line over the top of the turbo, resulting in at best the fuel vapourising before it hit the injectors or at worst an under bonner fireball.
what car is this joker talking about?

I quite agree with that statement, apart from the chav bit as they have moved on and cant afford the repair bills....:laugh:, who cares what they think or write, good job all car clubs arent as shallow...:coffee:

Moved on?!? I could never imagine a chav ever being able to afford an R5 Turbo (except for that one who won the lottery :) ), unless the members of that site are showing their complete lack of knowledge and actually meant an R5 GT Turbo ;)

I don't think 5s were ever available as a company car... every1 slagging them off probably had 2 drive their nans nova til they were 25 in between bingo sessions... only an audi forum is more boring than owning 1 so not surprised they ran out of things to chat about :upyours::jerkoff: now the wife is in charge of what they drive anyway and theres limited street cred to 'baby on board' signs :laugh:
I went out with an audi driver years ago and his cock was so small I think I imagined it :D

What makes me laugh is the fact that when you look at some of their profile pictures all they have done is 'chav' up an Audi. Some of them are hideous!! And I really like Audis! Infact Im hoping to buy one :ashamed:.Who in their right mind would do anything to an Audi!!??...imo theres nothing worse than making an expensive car look cheap!! I know, lets but an 11 k car and buy some £400 wheels.....NOT!!.....

Its probably the 1 I own now! Had it 10 years and use it every day - never had any real major problems either. I bought it from a 3ft chav from East London, bet he wishes he'd kept it. Mind u, he's more than likely got a f*cking audi on his drive now... :laugh:
