hello, im james, and ive got a ph1 gtt in electric blue.

i think my brother has probly posted a couple of pictures of my 5 up on here before but its changed alot over the last 6months.
it might not be to everyones taste but i wanted to do something different but not chav'd.

i cant find the pics of when i first bought it but this was after a few mods
(vnt, fmic, avo coilovers, interior, side exit, bonnet, yellow samcos)

i had the silver bonnet "badboy'd" and spayed

i hated the tarmac bumper so finally replaced it with a smooth gt bumper

i decided to do something i hadnt seen before on a 5 and changed the wheels
(7.5x16" et15 borbet a's)

then at fcs2009 (new addition was the roof and wing mirrors)

that was where the new ideas came from really. i wanted to make my 5 stand out and be different from the rest

i moved into my own place in nov 2009 and as i had a garage now i decided the 5 needed to come off the road for some work.
i knew it was rotten but after an afternoon getting carried away with some tools it ended up like this :eek:

i have replaced the complete front end, rebuilt the front chassis legs, replaced both inner and outter sills, brand new genuine wings, front bumper and grill, new arches and skirts all round.

to cut a long story short, this is how it looks atm (new engine also)

just waiting on getting al my new panels back from the bodyshop then i'll mot it at work and it'll finally be finished .................................................. ....... for now

Fantastic collection of pictures of your car their mate, it's a real credit to you and I have to say I would be pleased to own it in many of it's previous design states as I think they all look cool! :cool:

what wheels you running now then and what colour? the grey borbets (i think) look best

the wheels are the same borbets, only now they are cream with chequered lips as they needed a refurb
