Clio steering column ?

Hi all im fitting a MK1 clio 1.8 16v dash in the 5 gtt, ive been told to use the mk1 1.2 clio manual steering column. Are the power steering columns the same? as they both look the same on ebay.

Yea i think they are. There is a common problem on the clio steering column where the bush on the uv does one and you get play in the steering. The column shaft is like pressed into the uv joint with a crap rubber bush thing. Most just weld the uv joint straight to the shaft and its good as new. The difference is just the rack itself.
