hi could anyone tell me what oil temp should be on the r5 gt, i have a mocal oil cooler fitted with thermostat plate. i have an aftermarket temp sensor fitted into the oil cooler mocal elbow. my temp guage starts at 50 degrees and it wont move off 50, is this too cold?? i have tested the sensor in hot water and it works fine, thanks

To cold. When the engine is warm it should be about 85 degrees. I have mocal rad and stat fitted and that's what I'm getting with normal driving.

oil temp should be around the same temp as the water at about 85 to 89
were are you measuring the oil temp ?

just got my oil temp sensor in the elbow that goes into the thermostat plate where the oil filter is. where is the best place to fit it???its the same after ten minutes of running 50 degrees when engine is warm, havnt had it out on the road yet tho

10 mins of the car idling will not heat the oil. The water will be up to temp but you will have to go for a drive before you increase the oil temp. You will need 30 mins or more of the car idling before your gauge will get a reading
