First post!

Hi Guy's n Gals ;)

New to the site, but not new to Renault hot hatches. Going to collect my 2nd R5GTt tonight fingers crossed, last one I had was from 1993 till 1998, and since the day it drove off up the road I have wanted it back  (G69 NDH).

Now that I am older :disagree: , and can now afford one as a toy and hobby :agree:, I can not wait. Should anyone have hints or tips for me when going to look at this one tonight, please feel free to pm me. It is not mint, as I want to do a project of restoration on it, but it is road worthy. It is a "H" reg, white (best colour) and the guy seems genuine, it has only had 6 owners and lots of paperwork, so really looking forward to getting back into the R5 frame.

Cheers

Phil :smokin:

Just as an update to my purchase, it all went Pete Tong!!!

In a fit of derpression I went to work the next morning, and scouring the net i noticed a new advert on Ebay for what I think to be honest is a bobby dazzler....

Buy It Now £1750.......... I bought it and due to collect it tomorrow morning ;)

Insurance with Footman James = £114.50 fully comp with her indoors as named driver :crap:

Take a look, it looks to be an Ex RTOC owners car, but let me know if anyone knows anything about it.

How did you find that out????

Years I have been hoping to get that car back, last time I saw it, it went past me on the M42, still the greatest car I have ever owned, and I have had Type R's, GT4's and Scooby's.

Took a quick look at the old membership records and have a suspicion this is owned by a guy called Jalen? He wasn't active on the club much and when he was, it was 7/8 years ago

JUST TO ADD AN UPDATE, THE CAR WAS A RUSTY CRAB, HENCE HE RE ADVERTISED IT...

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW IT HAD MOT, THE BACK END WAS SO ROTTEN IT IS UNTRUE, AS WAS THE ENGINE BAY, IT HAD BEEN PARKED UP 7 MONTHS WITH THE WINDOW OPEN AND WAS SODDEN INSIDE.

ANYWAY I GOT THERE IN THE END GUY'S, FOUND A NICE TIDY "H" REG RAIDER, ADDED SPECS ONTO MY PROFILE, AND I AM NOW IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING RID OF THE BOY RACER TOUCHES FOR ORIGINAL PARTS. PARTS BOUGHT IN PAST THREE DAYS ARE

NEW BONNET (BRAND NEW :))
REAR BUMPER (MINE HAS CUT OUT IN MIDDLE WITH TWO HUGE 4" EXHAUSTS STICKING OUT :sad2:)
ALTERNATOR (BRAND NEW FOR SPARE)
PERC FAN
TAILGATE (FOR THE BADGES, TAILGATE TO KEEP AS SPARE)
DRIVERS DOOR (KEEP AS SPARE)
STEERING WHEEL
HEADLIGHT (MINE WAS CRACKED)

ALSO HAD WINDSCREEN REMOVED AND REFITTED AS IT NEEDED IT.

IT ANYONE KNOWS A GOOD SPRAYER IN THE MIDLANDS THAT WILL NOT PULL MY PANTS DOWN ON THE PRICE OF A RESPRAY, PLEASE LET ME KNOW :agree:.

HOPEFULLY SEE YOU ALL AT THE POD, AND IF ANYONE IS FROM BIRMINGHAM AREA, I AM SITUATED NEAR THE NEC.

CHEERS ;)
