View Full Version : Best Driving Roads In The UK.?
im not talking m1/a1 motor/dual carriage ways!
im talking nice scenic routes! nice landscape veiws.! twisty turny roads, hills etc.?
your opinions pls

recent travelled around the highlands, went up and around fort william from dundee then across to loch ness absoulutley stunning, shame i was in athe alfa, loch's were flate cam roads bone dry, and sun was out, truly awsome.
twists and turns and superb flat roads with no bugger living up there they get no use lol. And not a bottle or can of irn bru in sight!

ah man that looks great! i was thinking scotland and wales for snowdonia.
i love roads like that where there nothing around :agree:

the road from Hawick to Carlisle is very nice. had to drive it for work last year.
there are loads in Wales, around the Elan Valley is nice too.

Driving to wales with a few mates to find some decent roads next weekend or weekend after. Going in the 5, followed by an integra type R (lovely car) and a astra vxr. Should be fun. Anyone want to come, pm moi :)

drove that road once i think. went on a shopfitting mission to north shields , guy "boss" got it wrong and was ment to be galashields scotland. what a drive took 2 hours away fort i'd got there rang boss and :laugh: set off up north :sad2: g
ot there in the end after bout 5-6 hours and then had to do my shift.
was all in the old bus 106 1.5d mmm:cry:nice roads tho

jump on a ferry and go to the isle of man
no speed limit on mountian roads or out of towns
nice roads if you stick to the tt track

TT = Tourist Trophy. The TT circuit for motorbikes.

the tt is a 101 year old event which bikers get together to watch some of the best racers go around street tracks , ie stone walls ,cottages, lamp posts ow and the mountain
a great week and yes no speed limit over the mountain lol i went in my evo and the roads are fast and some brill turns

Can jump on a ferry at liverpool or fleetwood! be there an 40mins!

anyone know what the north yorkshire moors/ yorkshire dales and the peak district are like..?

i live on the isle of man and have done all my life.it is true
some roads have no speed limits but some do.
but the best road on the isle of man is over the mountain
16 miles of road with no speed limits
nice twisty road and awesome in a 5 ill look for some pics and get them up sunday:)

I always go for a blast on the twisty roads around Lands End and St. Ives, great fun and cracking scenery!
