Hi all

Just a quick note to say we are brining back PFC magazine in June.

Get in touch if you have feature cars, event reports, meets etc to be added to the events diary/club reports.

The mag will be run differently and will be more club focussed.

Email mark @ frenchcarshow.co.uk

Cheers

Oh, I didn't realise it was coming back!

Mind if I ask what happened and if it's the same people/group who have brought it back to life? :agree:

The office is in Dorcan in a unit to the rear of the editors house (not his garden shed lol)

Oooooooooooooooooooh! Interesting.

Well Spooks up there and I are both from Swindon, might be cool to arrange an event up here once you're more settled and get lots of members up :agree:

Myself & some of the other Club Members would i'm sure be delighted to make ourselves avaliable to celebrate the 25 year anniversary (This Year) of the GTT if you wanted to do a feature? ;)

that all sounds good

We are cobbling the first issue together at the moment but issue 2 we will be out and about making these things happen.

We are busy with French Car Show just now (I know not everyones cup of tea here) but afterwards we can get our teeth into it.

We didn't ever want to run a mag but no one else wanted to do it when they dropped it so we need as much help as possible for content. Without complicating things too much we have budgeted for a 52 page mag for free paid by ads (no more % than before), distribution is via sign up online for £10 a year which pays for postage, two graphics and the website. The mag is sustaining itself on a non-profit basis. Also the mag can be sent to events for free distribution.

If and when it picks up again we can change the model we are not looking to charge £4 again unless it warrants it.

Am I the only one who's not found any details on here regarding the 25th bash?

StuTHC was looking into it a while back but he has obviously stepped down. I'm pretty sure Renault said they weren't interested in an official 25 year thing, they want to make a big deal of the 30th (stupid I reckon). Stu will have full details though, that's all I know

Yeh renault arent interested, I dont see why we cant make ND this year a celebration of the R5 GTT 25th birthday, dont need to do anything else really, although would be cool if we could do a camping trip or something....

My local Renault dealer is celebrating it, must be a franchise based decision.

They also said Renault UK will be doing something huge for the 30th birthday :)

I suggest that you include a section on French Cars used in club motorsport. The 205's are very popular in hillclimbing and sprinting and there are more of the clio cups appearing as well as my dear old Doris (She managed to beat a Longman engined 206 yesterday :) )

New poster! (less than 10 posts)

:agree: good to hear, there wasn't anything really French specific on the market so was a shame to hear it wouldn't be published anymore, glad you saved the day!

I thought the French gtt owners were sorting the/an anniversary bash for sometime in August, and hoping to get Renault France involved.

To my knowledge Renault UK have never had any plans for a 25th Birthday bash, which is pretty p1ss poor of them to be honest.

Good to hear the mag is being relaunched.
My old trophy 5 was in the first edition when it changed to PFC from PGTI. :D

There is a big Renault 5 meet at the Clermont-Ferrand circuit in France on the bank holiday weekend of 28th-31st May if anyone is interested?
