Been following that thread on the MLR since it was first posted. The guy is a joker, although in fairness I've seen similar shananigans from gtt tuners over the years...
the gsx has too much crank ignition advance.
the combustion chamber filing is something that's been around for a while, google "somender singh".
Ive read that thread start to finish, brilliant read, im just so surprised that the engine even manages to run, with the grooves cut into it , i jst expected instant headgasket failure..

its a tried and tested modification that supposidly aids turbulance in the combustion chamber. you didn't google somender singh then. why do you think the hg would fail ? it's done within the circumference of the fire ring.
