Yes it will, but donīt forget F7P engine has got combustion chamber, and B18FT not, I think you will end up with a very low compression engine.

a b18ft head is flat

the na head has a squish area.

i was gona go down the same route but i think the c/r would be way to low

do it, and wack an extremely rediculess amount of boost through the engine to compensate for the extra low compression :wasntme:

try it with a 172 crank in?

Think in doing that the piston would raise out the top of the block.

Is the F7P block identical to the Volvo B18FT? Only reason is i thought there were slight differences due to one being 16v and one 8v.
I may be wrong as not really looked at an F7P block.

no, it won't sorry. the oil galieries do not line up. I know of a 16v head for sale that has been modified to live on a volvo block, if you were interested. and, as p30esteves says, you have a chamber in the 16v head, and not in the volvo.

2l crank will foul in both blocks I think, or atleast it will in the volvo's.

the bore in the volvo is also smaller than the f7p - 1721cc vs 1764 (I think) with the same throw on the crank.
