New YouTube film from Harewood Hill

I have just uploaded to YouTube a new 2 camera view video from last Sundays Harewood Hillclimb.

Not a very good result for me and Doris my trap speed was only 69 when the top cars were at 83 :cry:

The car was flooding before due to a duff washer under the float needle vlave so I need to change the spark plugs for new ones. If that dosent sort her out then I will have to look for boost leaks and other power robbing issues.

Im at 3 Sisters Wigan This Sunday coming the 18th April.

The pedal cam is a Mini DV camera my duaghters boyfriend bought me its the size of your thumb and comes with various brackets. The only issue is you dont know what its recorded until you plug it into a PC.

That was first practice with 14psi of boost. I am working on a similar film of the first timed run. When Im really going for it you will see it isnt quite so.... shall we say "composed" :ashamed: so watch that space!

I've been to 3 sisters go-karting a few times, great fun brilliant track, watched some chaterhams go round it. perfect for a 5 :D

Nice footwork Russell!:cool: I know what you mean when you say things aren't quite so smooth at 10/10ths, I'm OK at 7-8/10ths (not as good as you) but, above that, I seem to just fluff it right up :ashamed:.

Ahh.. I thought it was one of those expensive setups.. what do you use for the main view and then do you use some kind of software to overlay the two?

standard video cam clamped to the roll hoop and Pinnacle studio 11 to edit the 2 views into 1. :cool:

Another pedal cam film this time from a sprint at 3 Sisters.

After the last event I had fitted some new plugs and found a HT lead that was wearing on a bolt of the altenator. Moving that reinvigorated the engine.

The run on the film was first practice where I was just feeling my way. Unfortunately I caught the mini DV camera mount with my knee getting out of the car and broke it so it was the only run I could film with "pedal cam". Its not a full on attack run but you get the idea.

My best time was 52.27 and it was good enough for the class win :) beating the Longman engined Peugeot 206 that was running 83mph through the speed trap, to my 69, last weekend at Harewood
