Right, I have a few parts that Im really struggling to hunt down or confirm for sure that they are n/a before I give up on them. (All for a 1986 Phase 1)

My local Renault garage has part numbers for some but then the system cant find them...or something, was confusing.

Anyway, if any of you could help I would be forever grateful!

Here's what Im looking/praying for to be still available...

- Heat Sheild - Dealer says 60 01 009 580 but he couldnt get any more info on it, system couldnt find it.

- Heater Box thermostat - Dealer says 7701 204 251 but he couldnt get any more info on it, system couldnt find it.

- Scuttle Cover (not the battery part) - Dealer couldnt get part no.

- Hot Air Duct (from manifold to air box) - Dealer says 60 01 006 877 but he couldnt get any more info on it, system couldnt find it. Im sure I could use virtually any hose here but I really want as many Renault OE parts as possible, I would love to even see what it looks like.

- Battery Tray - Dealer wants £50.00!! Surely someone must have it cheaper?! Anyone got a spare for sale?

- Rocker cover nuts - Dealer couldnt get.

Oh, and, does anybody have any sticker sets for inside the engine bay?

Thanks in advance for any help.
Mike

Scuttle cover, Assuming its the same as a phase 2 ? the part number is 7700756524 :) Also £50 sounds about right for the battery tray from Renault. However try Mike (Phase i 16v).

For the hot air feed, do you need the bracket that it goes to also?

Also, unless I am mistaken the rocker cover is held on by nuts. Is it these you need or the studs the nuts fit onto. Its been a while since I have taken the rocker off but 99% sure it is secured by nuts.

Hi, I am in Spain until the 13th but can help with most of the bits you need. Renault is £57+ vat for battery tray so £50 is a good deal.

Cheers

60 01 021 084 it had said on the system that it had changed to another number a updated one as well.under both numbers it was showin it was unavaible but the guy was still going to ask renault france about it see if they might have it?the guy phoned up renault france and said they no longer make this part any more and all the part numbers starting with like 60 for example will now be unavaible as from 2010 :confused:is there any truth in this??concerdring that the gt turbo production had stoped in 1991 its not been to bad parts are still avaible till now. :agree:

I know that Renault have stopped production of alot of parts & changed alot of the numbers on the system... replacing them with new product's such as gearknob etc...

Alot of dealers dont know how to use the software to look for alot of older parts, so it really pays well to find a dealer locally who know's the system and to get on first name terms with that person. :agree:

There are members on here who can supply you with the correct part numbers for parts... makes life so much easier for the renault dealership if you ring up and say you want 7700 XXX XXXX etc.

Erm, not sure which bracket you mean...Ive never seen one in situ so dont know what to expect. I just know there is a hose of such missing from the air box to the bottom-ish of the heat shield/ manifold. So when the car is cold it closes off that junction above the air filter and draws warm air from near the exhaust manifold Im assuming.

Great!! Well Ill prob wait and get in touch with you when you get back if thats all right. Theres a couple bits Renault had the right codes for and I was going to just get them from there but am I right in assuming they are generally over priced?

The one that snakes over the turbo and looks like it goes to the exhaust manifold.
