Anyone considered or using this system to control the ingnition timing??? it seems like a pretty cheap option.
My motive is that im fine with the carb and dont really want the hassle or expense of going EFI but i would like to control the ignition timing at higher boost levels.
Any advice appreciated, or even on other systems available.

I use megajolt on my Mini and it is a good basic system. Its easy to fit and use and most parts can be found in the scrappy as it is based on the ford system.
The fitting on the kit would be relatively easy with the use of one of Scoffs trigger wheels.

tnt hammond has fitted a megajolt system, but is yet to get the car running as it has taken a backseat for the mean time. i haven't seen it or been involved in the fitment, but i'm sure if you drop him a pm he'll tell you what he thinks of it so far

Good bit of kit. I've had many an email chat with the guy behind that, and would've bought one of his aeip's if it weren't for fitting an Adaptronic to my old Raider instead.

Is it easily tuneable?

Yes.

Own software? Have you fitted one of them? http://www.neo-tech.fr/aei-renix-officiel-et-programmable/aei-programmable
