View Full Version : Dump Valves
Wat are peoples views on having them or not. I was thinking of taking mine off but browsing the net it said that it reduces your turbo life because of the back pressure and the turbines cutting through this causing waste gate chatter.
Is that right.

Not this one again
To me they make a car worse if anything. Its another thing to go wrong and ruin an engine.
And the turbo doesn't stall with the chatter sound.
2 minutes in my car will show you this. Roll the passenger window down and you can hear the turbo spool up, chatter and spool down through the exhaust.
dump valve's going then the weekend i just wanted more peoples views after reading that on the net.

More problems with, than without;).
Having a dump valve is gay, having two is full on comming out the closet.
Put it this way, if you have one... you sound like a lorry or a bus... ding ding ''next stop gov''

cant beat a turbo chatter , i thought dumpvalves where the nuts , maybe with 400bhp to release bit pressure but with a uprated turbo on a five or uprated boost the non dumpvalve chatter is better by far and no dif in performance
