Just wondering what people think of them? Do they make any difference performance wise?

down to choice really i know the kam racing ones are a huge improvement over the first tubular manifolds, a guy off my r5 gt turbo fb group bought one and posted pics the quality looks spot on.

They look the part like but mebys not rush to get one if they don't make much difference.. Wots that a 5 facebook group?

Spend your money elsewhere, but tubular manifolds have not been tested extensive enough on the 5.

finger cross this year i will get some back to back testing done with the std, ktec/cgb and two other custom manifold test to see what, where or if there is any gain

What all those manifolds seem to be lacking in is equal length runners. Personally, I'd only bother with a tubular manifold if I was intending on running a large externally wastegated turbo, which with the 5's cc, you're not going to be able to accomodate for.
I had a manifold made for my car with equal length runners. From the picture you'll see what I mean...

the custom 1 manifold i had made is within a 1/4 of a inch (about 5/6mm) of being equal length runners . i know 100% equal would be perfect but that the closest we could get with limited room.
what's your manifold for?
I clearly didn't look at that one properly. I'd have thought you'd get more advantage from using that manifold compared to the other two.
The manifold is for a 200sx. Unsuprisingly the 200sx and i'd guess the rest of the Jap market are plagued by **** quality parts, mostly manifolds made from nothing better than welded turd in my opinion. I spent quite some time searching for good reputable companies to make that for me and there were only two on the whole bloody globe:sad2:. Both were on the opposite side of the pond too. However there must be a couple of hand fulls worth of companies in the UK ready to sell people **** quality manifolds, flow wise and design wise. The really sad part is the morons on the OC think they help their cars...
Just as a note, that manifold weighs more than the turbo i'm using, which is of a substantial size. I should actually weigh it, I also got a lifetime guarantee with it.

i agree on the weight. c1 manifold is more like twice the weight of the other two. i had the manifold ceramic coated by a big name in the uk and my thought's are it was a waste of time and money start to flake just after the guarantee ran out and it seemed to make no difference to the heat (under bonnet). so next thing is to go back to heat wrap. just my thoughts on ceramic coating.

the only company i know down your way is simpson race exhausts not cheap tho.

Simpson exhausts know what they're doing, however they cost a bloody fortune (I saw DK's bill for his manifold when we picked up the car). For me, with very good reputations either way, there's either Full Race (U.S) or Powertune (Aus) for the SX. I chose Powertune.

at least going over the pond you get better currency rate. not badly price tho. i know someone that went to simpsons and they bill was over 2k.:cry: thats gotta hurt.

Two different people as far as I know. Seeing his invoice says one thing to me... I'd never go to them for an exhaust, it nearly made me cry and it's not even my car.

The exchange rate is very good:D. I paid alot of Aus $ compared to the £. It still wasn't cheap though

Dan certainly isn't, he's paid for the best and he's got it. It doesn't distract me from the fact he's a slow **** getting the car running though

Powertune are about 15 mins from me. The exchange rate is crap at the moment for you guys but, awesome if I need stuff from UK! That said, for most car stuff, the price you get in UK is far better than in Oz.
My custom 2.5" exhaust cost a fortune out here!:(

I'll be honest. Over here all the Drift ****s pay way over the odds for the U.S product, even though it's about £500 more expensive, and not as good (well, exactly the same to be honest)
They make you laugh over here, especially the drifting clique, they're all ****ing arse holes. I'm a dick but i'd have to be a total up my own arse **** to hang out with them (king of the road attitude).

No probs, is there any were you would advise? I'd rather buy one with out having to exchange mine aswell
Being a Northern lad, i'm unsure. Google and a good eye for a deal will see what's available.

I have seen a lot of the high power Honda guys in the U.S with twin wastegates, excuse my ignorance but why not just use one big one 46mm etc I have seen some of those full race exhast manifolds for hondas, nice bits of kit.

it's for when you use a twin scroll turbo, helps keep the pulses apart.
