View Full Version : help fitting side skirts
well what i thought would be easy as turned into a right job :sad2:, got all the new metal clips rest the skirt on them fine but wen i push it onto sill to bolt them on either the clips drop off or skirt pulls off, was thinkin of bondin them on, anyone got any ideas???
I just tiger sealed (bonded) them on, never had a problem doing it this way it's a bit of a bodge to fair but it works a treat!:)
gonna have to do the same i think, was at hours and didnt get anywere, you still leave the clips on to hold the skirt in place though ?
I just used a blob of tiger seal on each on of the lugs on the side skirt itself and a few 6 inch beads along the bottom, place it up against the sill then hold in place overnight with masking tape. ;)
tomorow's job sorted, thanks for that

What way up do you have the clips?
The tabs on the skirt push in between the clip and the sill, not just resting on it, if you get me.
so the tabs go behind the clips not onto the hooks thats on them, might be were im goin wrong

I think scratchers right and you have the clips on upside down, I did this first time round and wondered why the clips kept falling off.
