I was thinking of buying a seam welded subframe or welding my subframe my self, But is it worth it? Is the subframe a known weak affair as standard?
Not really a 'known weak affair', but it is supposed to make the car handle better, yes.

cheers fella think ill do it then now you got me wanting to do the bay as well :rolleyes:
or cheaper alternative is to knock up a sump guard, that will stiffen up you subframe no end.

have a welder just bought some rods need to find some metal and get some practice in! Anyone got any pix of where to weld the subframe i was going to do some welds on everything that has been spot welded together. Also if anyone has any pix of welding the bay for strength that would be ace also! :D
triangulation would be more helpful that seam welding the s'frame up,
maybe consider solid engine mounts to,is it for road or track use?
there are pro's an con's,smooth track rough road....

will be more of a road car but gona get driven hard :D! what do you mean by triangulation?
I had mine seam welded, made no end of difference, I'm gunna make up a sump guard to further stiffen it, maybe I'll get it triangulated sometime aswell.
In my opinion every little helps when it comes to putting the power down cleanly in these pocket rockets
