haz, where can i get hold of one of them c1j type exhaust manifolds?

also reevio, i was under the impression that an atmopheric dump valve like your would cause problems with the b18ft/cars with afm's.?

also, something im wanting to do to mine is completely replace the old rubber boost circuit hoses with silcone versions. now i now there non available off the self but does anyone perhaps have it noted down regarding how many hoses/ i.d/ straights/ bends/ joiners are required to do the rubber to silicone swap over?? a long shot i know:crap: but can only be hopeful.

dv is a piston type and only opens on the release of boost on let off had no problems with it on the t2 before

raj have you thought of using those universal kits off the bay? comes with ally tubes and sillicon bends and you cut to suite. thats what i think im gona do.

if your using a t2 then the prima racing one will do, larger turbo's dont fit as too close, best i've seen is the one markey mark is using.
i'm sure you'll have some judder between gear changes with that valve.
no set things regards the silicone, esp if different rads, ic etc are being used

is it not poss to weld the volvo exaust manifold flang thing (where it connects to the head) to the c1j manifold?

No not really mate

just a random thought. if not poss i was thinking something like just welding a tube to where the turbo should connect and have it bend round and have the t2 flange welded to that. would that work??

In theory it would work, the question is whether or not in practice it would be worth doing. I don't think the Volvo cast manifold is a particular bottleneck unless you are aiming for huge horsepower, although someone might correct me on that.

was not the horsepower side i was looking at it is more getting the turbo out from behind the engine so its easy to work on and also if poss to get it in the same place as it is on the c1j so a gtt down pipe and exhaust will fit.

Its already being done mate. ;)

Its a different colour scheme under there now too, air filter is on, boost hoses's done, water pipes started throttle linkage almost finished and vearious brackets also done for all the components.

looks smart, like the fact you can get to the turbo easily. did the gtt down pipe bolt up to it in the end?

I'm not using a gt exhaust system mate, its a home built exhaust on there so the downpipe is home made too using an adaptor plate Jim made for me to secure the exhaust to the turbo.
