thought id put my grey renault 5 gt turbo in here as ive done loads to it latly so ill start at the start
ok its a 1991.was pretty stadard engine spec lowered 45 mm
a few months ago got my grey 5 gtt back after previously owning it about 5 years ago.
picked it up fairly cheap 300£ as when i got it back it was a none runner and had been sitting up beside the iron pier in ramsey 4 2 months with the window stuck down.
towed it back to my place 1st job was to get the window up so took door cards off and wedged it in place.
next day set about getting it running replaced the 2 main engine and body earths for the cost of 12£
put a battery in it started 1st go so then had to empty it of all the water that had got in due to the window being stuck down was a job for the aqua vac .
then put the window motor back on and got the window up.
when i got it it hand no rear interior no back seats no rear trim nothing
so i had a full set or gtt back seats and trim from a old 5 so replaced all that.
also had to replace both electric window motors indicator and light stalk rear heated window switch ash tray
and loads of other small bits luckily i had them in storage.
then i set about putting new front and rear ebc red stuff discs and pads on as the old 1s were shot.
then replaced rear shocks with gaz full adjustibles
next was mike spencer group a carb gt tuning ram raid induction kit
samco hoses dump valve and full scorpion exhaust
strapped and flowed intercooler
then turbo technics stage 3 t-25 turbo with forge actuator and uprated red spring currently running 10 psi will be adjusted to 16 soon
full cup mod.
then new dizzy arm cap and uprated plugs and lucas 8mm leads alloy carb lobster
also replacement boot lid
. original wing mirrors fitted
when got it it had 16 in alloys on replaced them with original 13s. 2 brand new tyres and 2 more next week
this week ive dones new track rod ends new wish bones with polly bushs
and polly bushs on anti roll bar got tracking done so hadles great now
soon will be original side gt turbo decals going back also had original grill back on since these pics on so pic 1 is how it was pic 2 is how it is will do up dates as i add new bits http://www.xlr8.co.im/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif whats every 1 think?
