Speedo cable?

Hi folks

Ive basically in a nutshel done a clio with a gtt conversion ..just swapped the gearbox to a 5gtt one. Now here's the thing i have the speedo cable and clocks ..i just dont know where the cable goes in the box ...has anyboady got a pic of where it goes?

Or if someone could give us a description that would be great :)

theres a small hole in the gearbox just about the drivers side driveshaft

follow the cable down from the engine bay tto get an idea were it goes on the box. its quite well hidden, its close to the rear engine mount aswell i think.

erm yeah ...we searched for said area of cable ...so out of curiosity(sp) we tried putting the clio speedo cable in ...and it worked ..so we are thinking its a clio 1.8 16v box ..not a 5gtt one :laugh::laugh:

Yeah that would make sense!!! Not sure about the gear ratio's on that box though ;)

haha im not bothered i was running a clio 1.2 box on it before :laugh::laugh: ..lasted like 10runs on the engine lol ..to be fair i did use it on my 1.2 engine for a good 4yrs also :smokin:

So hopefully this 16v one lasts longer :) if it doesnt ...i have a volvo 1.7 turbo box in the garage which i hope will fit :wasntme:
