View Full Version : Engine Serial Number Location

For those that have been following my Project Yellow Peril thread will know that I'll be taking the car to a government inspection centre to verify the engine serial number. The reason for this is that, according to NSW Vehicle Standards, serial numbers cannot be on a removable plate.

I've read the engine code article here

and I've read my Blue and Green Haynes Manuals and they all indicate that the serial number is on the same removable aluminium plate as the engine code. Is there another location on the block that the serial number is stamped?

nope just the one alloy tag as for as i know bud.
