a 5 GT Turbo will never sound like a Group B car.
too much exhaust back pressure, crap head design, a small turbo and a dodgy exhaust manifold.
best you can do is fit a sidey, cam the engine, and fit a largr turbo and turn the boost up.

Was that the white one with yellow and black stripes? i can find a lot of 5 turbos but no GTT's.

I have a sidy for sale to help give you that sound :agree:

the 5 gtt, was not wide enough track, and too shoter wheel base. - look at the rally videos , they go over the brow of a hill, bounce on the road, turn mid air, then roll, roll, roll. thats why they tried using the R11 turbo....

yeah- wasnt it the shalco website or summat like that. - maxxed out the standard t2 and came up with 180bhp....:disagree:

Agreed, the gtt will never have the 5 cylinder burble of the audi no matter what sidey you fit;)

i am sure as hell it said on a group b dvd i have that the turbo 2 was entered in group 4 or something along them lines and not in group b, altho it did beat the group b cars on the tour de corse

will check tho

The Renault 5 Maxi Turbo was homologated for Group B, and it won the 1985 TDC in the hands of Lord Ragnotti.

The Renault 5 Turbo was a group 4 rally car, I've seen Renault parts manuals for the group 4 car.

Group B was introduced by the FIA in 1982 as replacement for both Group 4 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Group_4_%28racing%29) (modified grand touring) and Group 5 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Group_5_%28racing%29) (touring prototypes) cars.
