fuel pump

my fuel pump has started makin humming noise...... time to renew possibly, any ideas of good value/ performance replacements.... i dont have a silly set up..... t2 uprated carb jets 8-16psi boost on in car controller

Check the mounting bracket hasn't rusted away they tend to make a kind of high pitched humming noise if they arn't secured properly;)

Have you changed your fuel filter recently?

No fuel flow (or low in this case?) will cause your pump to sound louder

Meaing your reserve fuel tank pump is working which pumps fuel in to the main tank - perfectly normal for it to sound like that. Just stick more fuel in! ;)

Can you just do away with the reserve tank? I'm sure I have read something somewhere about that.

campus filler neck, or just replace it with a piece of pipe and some rubber elbows

hmmm. i did. to 1/2 and it still did........ hmmmmmmmmm. how long until it starts using origional tank again lol
