help electrics!

can anyone help
when i turn the ignition on my side lights come on even though they are
switched off on the control switch,the engines not in yet but that should'nt
effect the lights,anyone had this problem before,is the switch knacked is it a sticky relay any ideas:confused:

The side light are linked to the dash illumination and i think there is a wire in the radio loom too. Have you any after market goodies wired up to the lighting circuit?? May be getting a feed from there with ignition live. Never come across a stalk switch getting stuck on before. Best way to rule the switch out of the picture is to unplug it and see what happens then?

mine did this, it was the headlight relay in the fuse box, the pink one :)
