someone on ebay bought some door pins of me and also
paid extra for "special delivery" which is quaranteed to arrive before
1 pm the next day . i sent the pins using this service (paying £4.95 :crap:)
thursday morning at 09:30 am .
friday afternoon i get a message from buyer saying ,it never arrived .
obviously the buyer is pretty pissed off as they needed the pins on friday .
i have explained her that i sent it with special delivery and they failed
to deliver it .

i have claimed compensation from royal mail before for loss or damage
but having never used special delivery before ,i have been told i can
claim the amount i paid for the special delivery back .
but what about the losses of buyer due to item not arriving on time ?
may be she had a slot in the garage for friday and lost it ? may be
she had to use a taxi over the weekend etc .
is there a way to claim these losses for her ?

ideas ,opinions muchos appareciated :agree:

you can't claim for anything other than the postage fee and it's value. It's just life, you're not responsible, and if the buyer gets funny then they're out of order. Forwarding them a copy of the post office slip with the special delivery, date and time on it might help them see that you are not to blame.

long as you got proof you end mate dont see the problem?
maybe as chris says just forward a copy to them?

the buyer knows i sent it with special delivery if not she will see
when it hopefully arrives on monday now .
i still got the receipt and will claim for it and i dont think i will ever
use special delivery again . waste of time & money imo :disagree:
