bm vs scoob croft

standard power on 535d is near on 300 bhp i think and chip and intercooler adds 50 - 70 bhp as far as i know

to right new 3.5 turbo desiel is almost same power as new 3.5 twin turbo petrol, old 3.0d can be put up to 270bhp for 800 quid to

good video but the scooby seemed to cacth it towards the end of each lap,you know wat would have happend if it was touring cars hed av just slammed it up the inside on one of the bends and then i dont think the beemer would av got past.

give it a longer open straight track and bmw wud win but on twisties you cud c the bmw was strugling , but dont forget it probably weighs 200 kg more than scooby? . . and bm looked standard so not a bad efort at all. if was 3 series i think bmw wud be very entertaining

if you watch the video against this bmw 535d you will see they really do go well shocked me to be fair give the evo a really good run for its money

yeah its a 6 uk tommi makinen is a really quick car i know he said how fast that 5 series was i think he was expecting an easier race than that :-)

The lad driving the bm is called paul, i have know him since our evo days, we both know croft quite well, his MR always had the edge on my FQ mind :o:o.

We actually passed the scoob down the straight before this video started.

The lad was gutted all his mates were having his life :)

Not sure on pauls bms power but it was a 535d remaped.

As for comparing this to an evo round a track he was about 7-8 secs slower than in his 430bhp evo 8.

On a motorway this will kill a 400hp evo, we went to 10 of the best 2 years ago in the bm with all the north east mlr and it was crucifying them on the motorways. A 400hp evo 8 just about kept up to 100mph after that, bye bye evo :p.

Its all horses for courses it depends on what sort of fast car you want 1/4 mile, track or on the roads.
