can anyone recomend or give any advise on how to get the sticky gunk off of my car?nearly all of my interior was covered in it, its an after market sound deadening.
iv got the top tin foil layer off but iv been left with black tar like stuff EVERYWHERE!!!
iv tried scrappers,heat,acid,petrol and on and on ...iv even taken my grinder to it in anger but it just gunks everything together!:mad::devil:
please help before i set fire to my shell!

thats stuff is a big pain i got to get it off mine soon might get the wife to have a go at it :D:laugh:

not good its prob dynamat , heated on application maybe try halfords they sell a degreaser spray or heat it up with a heat gun and scrap slowly. . y u wnat to get rid of it tho?
Simples go and get some stuff called tar and glue remover , apply it, leave for 30 secs and wipe off! I have just done it to the clio , just beware of the smell you can get a little light headed :D

ive had systems in every car , my van now got 1200 watts rms dynamat amazing , but had same stereo in ren 5 but no sound dead just thought you may have been a bass head;)
Na that was a long time ago mate :) more into engine components now

i cant grow out of it and 30 this year! my old car was hitting 140 db but i only got van now so gota make most of it!:(

dynamat thats the stuff :mad::mad: so far iv filled 2 black bags with the stuff and most of it is still stuck to my car!!:cry:
heating it just seems to make it even worse!so im gona try freezing it :scratch: gona get some chewing gum remover or something and give that a go.does anyone know if dry ice would work?
