Hey guys.. I'm fairly new to the site so I thought I'd kick things off with the age old debate, old vs new. Pictured is my standard Phase II and my mate's 197 F1. Seeing as this group is all about the old skool I think I know which way this is gonna go...

Ha. I like the 197's personally but prefer the 172s they just seem more raw..

Out of the two though...has to be the 5 just for the fact that it's a classic!

as everyday cars the newer ones win hands down for me but for something to take on a blast every now n then the older ones win

I've the gt turbo and a 172

The 5 wins for me, 172 as well as many new cars are great but cant beat the old gt turbo

i think the answer lies down to the people having owned more than 1 5 on here :)

well after havin a little run in with one round by me......:scared: id say the 5 it can put up abit of a fight as well.for the price of the 197s aswell :eek:not for me.id put more trust in a campse for a everyday car as well least if it went wrong i can fix it compare to these new cars:coffee:the 5 all the way. :cool:
