my milometer has stopped working. revs and speedo work still. any ideas what to check?

im in the same boat marc, someone said click the reset thing a few times as they can jam up.... nothin...

at the mo im working towards having a 70k gtt in another 30k:smokin::cartman:

Disconnect the black connector on the passenger side turret and clean the three pin connector. stick some grease in the connector and then plug it back together.

If that does not work check the connector at the back of the clocks are clean.

The car only goes of a few times a year so I shall let you know around June :wasntme:

All the clocks ive seen with the mileometer that isnt working has been a fault inside the speedo itself, not speedo pickup cable or connection on the back of the clocks

The little motor that turns the cogs on the side of the speedo unit seizes up mate, take it off & wd40 it. Also check the small wires that go to it & make sure they are connected:)

i pressed the trip and it all started working, 1 mile later and it jammed then the speedo itself packed in. now when i drive they are both intermittently working. i will pull the clocks out and have a look. thanks again :agree:

somtimes my speedo stops working and , if you touch the connection or wire behind clock it starts again. :sad2:

a good old fashioned clout gets mine working again it usually happens after iv ran someone over:wasntme: then bang it an it will work again.

same lol annoying! especially when you have someone in the car who knows nothing about gtts... which is only when it seems to happen!

people that know nothing about cars think mines a bag of s**t but people who have some knowlege love it.
