Changing rocker shaft

I want to change my rocker shaft but the end of it is held in place by the head bolts.

Would it affect the headgasket removing these end 4 bolts?

obviously i would use new bolts to replace them as ive heard used ones stretch and could break if used again.

you'll be fine, and no harm in re-using the old bolts either, they're not stretch bolts.
