Brakes International will do them .

Bigred looks like it will be about £200 for front and rear calipers in the budger gold/silver finish.

Do your calipers actually need refurbishing or could you get away with just cleaning/repainting them?

Edit:too slow!

Unfortuatley all the nipples have snapped off. to drill etc im afraid of getting swarf and crap in the caliper and then contaminate the lines etc...

If i can get it all done for around 200 quid i'd be happy :)

one of the last things i need to do :)

Slightly off topic. Can you service you own calipers? If so what do you need to do?

Ah yeah in that case best having it done properly.

Kenobi if you buy all new seals pistons etc its just case of replacement I think but the cost of all the parts puts you near refurb territory anyway

You can buy kits to overhaul the rubbers and sliders etc and pistons and nipples as well .
I do my own rears on the GTA as the calipers themselves are no longer listed .But the front's are cheap and cheerful to get refurbed so it it not worth the hassle .
I've also got the proper tools to do the handbrake mechanism as that is a bitch without it .

What are the kind of costs involved?

Ive got 2 calipers in the garden, can i test them in some way without pluming them all in.

Well I never attempted it myself perhaps clee could offer some advice from his experience?

I know when looking into refurbishing some cossie calipers a couple of years ago the price of all the bits was not far off purchasing a refurbished pair and they were already repainted!

I believe you need them plumbed in as you need to get the old piston out unless there is another way?

Actually perhaps it wouldn't be that expensive on a 5, the main cost I found was replacement pistons on the cossie brakes.

Edit: Not sure if thats the right piston never actually had my 5 brakes off to have a look

I fully rebuilt a pair of GTA rears for about £95 .That was with new pistons and sliders as well I think .
You could probably buy a pair of re-conned ones for the 5 for that though so not worth the effort .

Do GSF or Euro car parts not still do callipers? I bought some about a year ago, the fronts were about £30 each and the rears were nearer the £100 mark I think..... :)
