3/4 plates?
Are the 3/4 plates standard size lettering with the border chopped?
I done a set years ago on my old gtt, chopped the border of the plate off on the table saw at work:D Coppers never once give me any hassle.
Anybody tried the 'legal' pressed plates from dubmeister?

they are 3/4 of the size, like a scaled down plate, completely illegal, but actually look less illegal than a french one if that makes sense..

another way, which is legal, is to get a regular plastic GB plate, and just cut off the GB, making it shorter ;)
I cant believe having a french stlye plate is illegal!!
:disagree:
I love that french plate on your orange car. I want exactly that.

i've never had anything more than a telling off from police for them,
they usually start with 'is your car french then' which the reply was 'yes actually, its a renault'

ok what size do i need chap? 520mm? I want standard size becasue it needs to fill the section on back of 5 where standard number plate is.
dubmeister plates use german font with an F on it instead of a D.
craigsplates use french font.

Are Craigs plates metal or plastic?
Craigsplates are metal :)
You can't get ones from Dubmeister in proper euro font now, as they're illegal. Craigsplates is where I went this time around and they look spanking  search Google and you will find a 10% discount code too...
LONDONBIKERS
10% off with that code. Just done it.
Scratch that, RTOC members get 20% off with discount Code

There's nothing you to stop you chopping down plates as long as there is, if memory serves, 11mm of white/ yellow spacing round the outside of the letters. If you are running a smaller font, and your car is euro type approved (i.e. all R5s) be warned. I ended up in court!
