View Full Version : AEI help
Hi people, I've just changed the AEI on my E plae 11 turbo to a Renix 209. But was wondering if the one I've take off was a correct one for the car as It seemed a bit odd. The numbers on it as as follows
On the sticker
210686
S 100600 17A
Renix
On the side where all the plugs go in it has the numbers
8195
The unit was running no Knock sensor but had this plugged into the knock sensors socket
Wierd, best person to ask would probably be ze Ewok...
I know I was just expecting it to just say Renix 208 on the sticker like all my GTT's have had Renix 209 on them.
Ive no idea what aei it is but my old ph2 11t had the plug blanking off the knock sensor.
Adeys was the same, he has my old 209 on it now with the knock sensor looped out :)
So do you think I shoud put that plug back onto the new AEI?
just put the numbers into Google and have come up with this

looks like its from a Volvo 340, 360,

Personally, I would keep the knock sensor in place :)
There is no kncok sensor just that plug staight to earth

Leave it blanked off, upto you.
I've got a knock sensor you can have if you needed it. Although I'm not sure it'll reach from where the AEI is on the 11 :crap:
