Hi all! I could do with a hand understanding the wiring for my interior light.
Basically the first owner removed the central locking system out of the car, and this is where i think my problem is. When i put the fuse in the light will constantly illuminate unless i turn the ignition on. With the ignition off i cant get to turn the light off (unless i move the switch to the complete off position).
As you can see in the pic below, there are 4 wires, an earth on the left, a green in the middle and 2 reds on the right. No matter what happens both reds have a constant 12.4v. When i turn the igntion on the light will dim and then turn off, when this happens the green wire will build up the voltage to 12.7v as the bulb dims, the reds dont change.
I seem to remember that when you lock the doors, using the central locking, this turns the light off. I have had the door card off and all wiring and central locking motors have been removed.
Anythoughts? Cheers Chris
