rivet size for kit fixing

Hi does any1 know the size of rivet which fixes the bodykit skirt to the sill , i want to order some stainless ones so they dnt rust ,and the o.e arent stainless.

are they 4mm or 5mm ?

please note its not the ones which go in the sill to clip skirt on.

Good question, I need to get some of these and because of the head size I was thinking a standard 5mm rivet with a washer?

Guys you need the Renault specific rivets as they are not normal rivets. Last time I asked they were £4.80, and I think you need 10! :eek:

I bought these ones by mistake, I think he means the bottom ones and not he clip ones? am I right?.

Ahh right I see rob. Well have a look in my project thread and look at the solution I came up with, not oe, but makes all the bodykit easy to take off and on.

if you mean the rivets that hold the kit on at the back of the sills and by the back of the rear light then 4.6mm or 5mm should be fine.Do not use stainless rivets as they can crack the kit when you pull the up due to needing a lot of force to compress them i allways use alloy ones.

If you mean the ones that the clips for the side skirts go on then you will need rivets with a little thing on top that the clip slides on to.you could them from renault or most good nut and bolt places or a body shop.If you get stuck give me a pm:)

Chees Adam if any 1 read my post I said not the top ones ,it's the bottom ones where the holes are in the sill and skirt ,will order some alloy ones then cheers for the tips guys
