Right Guys, As some of you know I have asked around to see if I can get some of Ricardo's extender's remade.

I am sure you know that Ricardo got 30 made in 2007 for about £30 a pair...

Well times have changed & material cost have gone up & a slight change in the andozing side of the caliper (new version will be abit more harder) abit so a slight price change for these but these ones are Hard black anodized. They will use the same material as before HE30 (also same as K-tec)

Price's
5 Sets £75.00
10 Sets £60.00
20 Sets £47.50
30 Sets £42.50

This price is just for them to be made and for me to collect, Postage will be about £5 ontop (spooky sent me his set for £5.40 special delivery), I will try and get them sent out Recorded, I will see how much they will cost nearer the time.

Is anybody interested then please let me know. There has been abit of debate about these and if they will be QC's etc...

I have asked the machining company if the product is covered by there insurance if anything goes wrong but i very much doubt they will be intersted or if they are cost may go up.. but all i can say is the material is a good material using good machining etc. There is no reason why these products should ever fail.... If i feel that people want them QC'd, insured etc then I just say no thank you to the engineering company and just get a set made for myself only.

it's about time someone made some 172 disk and caliper to GTT valver upright adaptors.

Do you have the discs & calipers off your donor 172 Andy?

yeah, but they're going on the Twingo, I can make some measurements - if that's what you're asking...

found these that let u run the bigger piston 21 calipers, would they work with the 172 caliper?

no idea, but surely 280mm 172 disks and calipers will be easier to source than 285mm R21 stuff. Both might be better or need the larger diameter master cylinder mentioned.

The company i am using is a local engineering company. They do alot of work for Mercede's (making alot of Oil Pump's and alike)

They have a sample of Ricardo's last batch which is 99% the same as K-Tec's.

They will be hard anodized in black (which is harder than K-Tec's & Ricardo's)

ok i could of prob done them cheaper thats all. would be able to also able to supply material certs if needed as the comany i work for are an aerospace company. to be honest i dont see the need for the hard anodizing its just bumping the price up and isnt really neccessary. :)

I have just bought a pair of extenders, bolts and 285 mm crossed drilled discs for £82 second hand the extenders are really very light, I know it reduces unsprung weight but I very much doubt they work make that much difference. These should be made of solid steel for something like £20 a pair. I remember the extenders I used 8 years ago were exactly that. The extenders like came with gt tunings big brake conversion were just a flat piece of shaped steel with two holes drilled out and a pair of steel collars. Worked fine for the 5 years I used them. Remember thinking I could made them myself in a couple of hours with my angle grinder and pillar drill. It's not rocket science.
