Does anyone know the differences between the m59 and m60 gearbox?

gear ratios, think the m60 is longer, not sure if its the diff or just 5th.

hmm, could be the other way round. i've not used one but fitted one or 2, think devilish has/had one

He may well of mentioned that. Have you any idea what revs an m60 would be hitting at 70mph compared to the m59?

ratios for the m50 gearbox according to haynes
final drive 4.07:1
1st 3.09:1
2nd 1.84:1
3rd 1.32:1
4th 0.97:1
5th 0.79:1
reverse 3.55:1
dono if this helps but thought id put it up, only mentions the m50 gearbox does anyone know if this from the 440?:confused:
also is it worth swapping the 5 gearbox for a volvo alternative? how much is top spead increased by and acceleration etc...?
