We've done quite a few ring trips now and so far, no car fatalities (not 5s anyway). Check out the Events section for the next trip planned in September :)

4 trips over there, only once in my 5 though. Rest of the time was in my 19 16v.

Use national day as a test day to see how it lasts for long laps. The journey over is fine, and there is always enough of us to sort out any problems you get along the way

Well Sam,

a well looked after 5 can easily go to the ring and back...

As for your other thread about bombproof engine, its all in the fueling, get the sorted and you can get 150bhp, bigger turbo, sort out the cooling aswell as fueling you can easily achieve 170+bhp.

The next trip is a perfect opportunity for an article,or someone to do a guide to Nurburgring, costs involved, ferries, tunnel, mileage etc so people know roughly how much to budget :)

Could the Club not invite a magazine (PFC ect) to come along and ride im members cars for the trip and maybe do a full write up of the event (maybe get club to cover there hotel costs for the staff) to help promote the club and what we offer/organise as a club....
