Taking a break to london with my Gf this week tues to sat.

Any ideas of places to go things to do?.

http://www.londonpass.com/index_visitlondon.asp?aid=1

Was thinking leave the car outside london, As i did years ago and then buying the above pass for three days for us both, for all trains and buses and theres free entry, to quite a few places gf wants to go to visit /see. £160 for both of us.

london eye is another and maybe a boat trip one thames.

any recommended things to do or places to go, places to go out to? places to stay.

I have an idea, its going to be fun any way what ever happens, but please any ideas would be great. Regards dave

If you ever get stuck True RTOC family style ....

I Live in harlow ,

Of which theres either a direct route into london via a Tube station in epping

or you can go from harlow town station to tottenham hale then into london

Only reason I suggest this is If your looking for secure parking for free , I have parking bays and also , road in which cars park along infront of my house and my watch full eyes :agree:

I would Go see the WW2 battle ship , then catch a boat that runs down the themes allowing you to see either side of the themes ...

Hopp of at the other end , have a look around parliament square , big ben , some museums... depends what floats your boat mate ! !

If you want to see what London's like, go to Leicester Square. I was there last night, and someone got knifed on a bus while I was waiting for a cab home - London at it's finest

Visit bourgh market... its really good just up by london bridge station...

Also good if you fancy a bite to eat...

that then puts you on the river front so hms belfast etc are one way or the other dependant on your direction of walking....

Well....as long as you stay outta North, South and East London you should be fine!
Nah im kiddin' mate, its not all bad :)
It depends what kinda things take your fancy: there's Oxford St which should please the mrs with hours of shopping at hand, see the usual sights of Big Ben, Houses of Parliment (of which i think they do tours of now :crap:) Tower of London....
+ im sure on your walks you'll see many a young rich Arab or Russian in some supercar of some sort so cant be all bad
But the 'United shirt' hmmm? Might not go down well with us "Southern Fairies" ;)

Best places in London - Brick Lane for a ruby, and even better than that, Tower Bridge Road for pie & mash (at Manze's). Win! :)
