Fitting a side exit

Bit of a simple question really, but to fit a side exit / exhaust in general, what parts will I need? I think I need some new bolts and springs, so I guess a trip to Renault will sort that? I've got the 'cotton reel' style mount that fixed to the handbrake bracket on the underside. Do I need any other gaskets or fittings or anything?

The car atm just has the engine in place with just the turbo and downpipe in place.

What make of sidey is it?

When I got mine all I needed was new bolts to connect it to the down pipe nd a shed load of wd40 and an angle grinder to get the old system off.

It wouldn't hurt to replace the rubber mount next to the sill where it exits as I found mine was badly perished plus it sat to low for my liking and I had to adjust the hanger with some heat and a hammer to get it sitting where I wanted it

I think it's a Scorpion? Couldn't say for certain atm.

I noticed an old rusty wire circular thing lying around under my car (probably from when I took the old exhaust off).. it kind of looked like a gasket / seal thing. Can't really explain it - if you understand what I'm on about, do I need a new one of these too? I'm not even 100% sure it's off my car.. anyone who's seen my back garden will understand how much random car sh!t we have :laugh:

Yep there's one of those between the down pipe and the front pipe

I got one with my ktec system, dunno the exact size but it'll be bigger than standard so Renault is no good, someone will come along soon and tell what it needs to be

another thing to thing about is if the downpipe and exhaust are the same diameter to fit together as most side exits are 2.5" bore and a standard system is 2" and do come in some 2.25" aswell

Depends on the size of the exhaust bore to be honest. The k-tec tiger system sidey is a 2.5" so needs a 2.5" downpipe to meet it.
